Guides
Each guide answers one question. The answer is the first paragraph, and every table cites its source and the date the figures were checked.

- What are DOT average bid prices?
Many state transportation departments publish the average unit price for each pay item from their bid lettings. These reports are free and public, which makes them one of the few open references for US construction unit prices. Omnicost loads the reports of nine DOTs. Each one names its average differently, and that difference matters when you compare.
